No. S. 325.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked Tender for Ferries", will be received at the Office of the Colonial Secretary until Noon on Friday, the 5th day of September, 1930, for a licence for the exclusive maintenance of the ferry services for the conveyance of persons between
Victoria and Hunghom, Victoria and Kowloon City, Victoria and Sai Wan Ho, Victoria and Shaukiwan, Hunghom and Kowloon City, Hunghom and Sai Wan Ho, Hunghom and Shaukiwan,
Kowloon City and Sai Wan Ho, Kowloon City and Shaukiwan, Sai Wan Ho and Shaukiwan.
Special attention is drawn to the following matters.
A. The service provided by the schedule to be published by the licensee and to be subject to the approval of the Harbour Master. Shall provide for not less than one departure every 45 minutes daily from each of the follow- ing piers between 5.15 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The Keng Shan Wharf, Victoria,
Hunghom Ferry Wharf,
Kowloon City Wharf,
Shaukiwan Wharf or Sai Wan Ho Wharf.
B. The licensee of the aforesaid ferry or group of ferries may demand and take
for every passenger, fares not exceeding the following rates:-
Between Victoria and Shaukiwan or Sai Wan

Between Hunghom and Kowloon City
Between Hunghom and Shaukiwan or Sai Wan

Members of the Hong Kong Police Force in uniform travel on duty free of charge on all ferries.

2nd Class 7 cents.

C. Notwithstanding anything at present contained in Regulation 28A of The Ferries Ordinance No. 28 of 1917 the licensee will not be permitted to use any of the vessels provided for the ferry service either to carry or tow any pigwash or offensive cargo at any time.
Every tender and licence shall be subject to the Ferries Ordinance No. 28 of 1917, and the regulations for the time being made thereunder.
The period of the licence shall be 3 years from the 1st day of October, 1930, which period may be extended in accordance with the regulations.
