No. 313.-On the evenings of the 18th and 19th July a very large supply of electric current, will be required in connection with the public illuminations. It is requested that on these evenings the use of current by private consumers may be as far as possible restricted. In no event should current be used by private consumers for the purpose of illuminating their premises.
To the Owner of Survey District IV Lot No. 2489.
No. 314. It is hereby notified that the Governor in Council having decided that the resumption of the property registered in the District Office, South, as Survey District IV Lot No. 2489 is required for a public purpose and private negotiations for the pur- chase thereof having, in the opinion of the Officer Administering the Government failed, the said property and all rights easements and appurtenances thereto belonging or apper- taining will be resumed by the Crown on the expiration of four months from the publication of this notice and thereupon such compensation in respect of such resumption will be paid as may be awarded in the manner provided by the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance, 1900.

MAGISTRACY.
by command of His Excellency the Officer
Administering the Government, and pursuant to Section 10 of the Liquors Consolidation Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 9 of 1911, an Election by the Justices of the Peace of a Justice of the Peace to serve on the Licensing Board from the 10th July to the 31st December, 1919, during the absence of Mr. ARTHUR RYLANDS Lowe, will take place in the Office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court on Monday, the 21st day of July, 1919, commencing at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
The election will be conducted in accordance with the Rules published in the Gazette dated the 7th January, 1910.
Forms of Nomination may be obtained at the Magistracy.
Every nomination must be personally handed to the undersigned by the candidate. or by his nominator or seconder not later than 4 o'clock on Wednesday, the 16th day of July, 1919.
The only persons entitled to vote at the Election are the Justices of the Peace. Voting will commence at 4 p.m. and continue until 5.30 p.in. when the ballot-box will be closed.
