KOWLOON-CANTON RAILWAY,
BRITISH SECTION.
No. S. 142. —It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Railway Coaches", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 25th day of April, 1930, for the stripping down and re-building of four Railway Coaches.
The work to be carried out in the Locomotive Workshops of the Kowloon-Canton Railway, Hunghom, under the supervision of the Chief Mechanical Engineer or his assistant.
All materials to be supplied by the Railway.
No tender will be received unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $25 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person refuses to carry out his tender, if accepted.
For forms of tender and further particulars as to the work required to be done can be obtained by applying to the office of the Chief Mechanical Engineer, Hunghom.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
