No. 74. With reference to Government Notification No. 69 of the 2nd February, 1904, it is hereby notified that Mr. VoVTZSCH has been appointed Consul for Germany at Hongkong in succession to Dr. FRIEDERICH KRÜGER, and that His Majesty's Exequatur has been issued to him.

No. 75. With reference to Government Notification No. 607 of the 1st September, 1904, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Lieutenant ARTHUR BERTRAM OGLE, Royal Engineers, to be his Extra Aide-de-Camp with the local rank of Captain from the 24th instant, vice Lieutenant HUGH WILFRED THOMAS SMITH, Hongkong and Singapore Battalion, Royal Garrison Artillery, resigned on leaving the Colony.

No. 76.-THOMAS SERCOMBE SMITH, Police Magistrate and Coroner, left the Colony on the 29th instant, on nine months leave of absence.

No. 77.-It is hereby notified that Mr. H. L. FLETCHER has been appointed Engineer Surveyor for private steam-launches under 60 tons, during the absence on leave of Mr. H. F. CARMICHAEL,

No. 78.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under Section 8 of the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1875 (Ordinance No. 2 of 1875), Wednesday, the 6th February, to be observed as a Public Holiday in the Colony.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.
No. 79.-It is hereby notified that under the provisions of the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1875 (Ordinance No. 2 of 1875), Wednesday, the 13th February, will be kept as a Bank Holiday in the Colony. His Excellency the Governor has further appointed, under Section 8 of the aforesaid Ordinance, Thursday, the 14th February, to be observed as a Public Holiday in the Colony.
