COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.
No. 189. It is hereby notified that the Press Censorship will be abolished in the Colony from the 30th April, 1919.
No. 190. It is hereby notified that an examination will be held in London for appointment to Cadetships in the Civil Services of Ceylon, Hongkong, the Straits Settle- ments, and the Federated Malay States.
Copies of the regulations, particulars of the examination, and form of application may be seen at this Office.
Candidates must have been born on or after the 2nd August, 1891, and have attained the age of 22 on the date fixed for the qualifying examination. They must also have served in His Majesty's forces by land or sea, or in the air, provided that a candidate who has been found unfit on grounds of health for general service, has served for at least a year in a Government Department, has there shown himself to be up to or above the standard usually obtained from Competitive Examinations, and is recommended by his Department, may also be considered.
