REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE.-The Colonial Secretary laid on the table the Report of the Finance Committee (No. 2), dated the 27th February, 1919, and moved its. adoption.

QUESTIONS. Mr. HOLYOAK asked the following questions, notice of which had been given by Mr. POLLOCK:--
1. Will the Government draw the attention of the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies to the importance to the Colony of Hongkong of its being made one of the Stations in the proposed Imperial Air Service which is being inaugurated?
2. Will the Government consider the advisability of reserving a large area in the North Western portion of the plain in the middle of which the Sheung Shui Railway Station is situate for the purpose of an Aerodrome?
The Colonial Secretary replied.
NON-FERROUS METAL INDUSTRY BILL.-The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved the Second reading of the Bill intituled An Ordinance to restrict temporarily the persons who may engage in business connected with certain non-ferrous metals and metallic ores.
The Colonial Secretary seconded.

On the motion of the Attorney General, the following amendments were agreed to: In section 8, the letter and figure "s. 6" in the marginal note were deleted and the letter and figure "s. 8" substituted therefor.
In section 9, the words "and lead" in the second line were deleted and the words "lead, nickel, aluminium," were substituted therefor.
