NOTE (1).—A reference to the restrictions previously in force will be found in the Notes to Notifi- cation No. 18 which was published in the Gazette of the 10th January, 1919.
NOTE (2)-Rule 38, published in the Gazette of the 5th May, 1916, prohibits the exportation of Chinese cash except to China.
NOTE (3).-Rule 49, which was published in the Gazette of the 5th October, 1917, prohibits the exportation or importation of any silver subsidiary coins of the Straits Settlements.
NOTE (4).-Application may be made to the Superintendent of Imports and Exports for informa- tion as to the conditions on which special licences will be granted for the exportation of prohibited articles.
