REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE. The Colonial Secretary reported that the Finance Committee. had approved Financial Minutrs Nos. 84 to 104, and he moved their adoption.

RETIREMENT OF MR. A. M. THOMSON. -His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government addressed the Council in connection with the retirement of the Honourable Mr. A. M. THOMSON, Treasurer of the Colony.
Mr. POLLOCK addressed the Council on behalf of the unofficial members who associated themselves with the sentiments expressed by His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government.
Mr. THOMSON replied.
