An Ordinance to amend the Pharmacy and
Poisons Ordinance, 1916.
BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Pharmacy and Short title. Poisons Amendinent Ordinance, 1929.
2. Wherever in sections 3, 5 and 19 of the Pharmacy Amendment and Poisons Ordinance, 1916, hereinafter caled the prin- of Ordinance cipal Ordinance, or in any regulation made thereunder, the No. 9 of

Amendment
3.-(1) Section 6 (ƒ) of the principal Orlimance is amended by the repeal of the word wholesale" in the of Ordinance first line thereof.

(2) Section 6 (4) of the principal Ordinance is amended by the repeal of the words "to wholesale dealers at the end thereof.

4. Section 4 (1) of the principal Ordinance is amended Amendment by the repeal in the second and third lines of the words of Ordinance

5. Section 10 of the principal Ordinance is amended by Amendment the addition of the words "or the equivalent of such name of Ordinance

6. Section 11 of the principal Ordinance is amended by Amendment the repeal of the words "with the name of the article and of Ordinance the worl Poison", an with the name and address of the No. 9 of

"with the name and address of the seller of Geo. 5, c. 5, the poison, with the word “Poison and with s. 4 (2).
the name of the poison, and, in the case of a preparation which contains a poison as one of the ingredients thereof, with such particulars as to the proportion which the poison con- tained in the preparation bears to the other ingredients as may be prescribed by regula- tions."
7. Section 13 of the principal Ordinance is amended by Amendment the addition of the following paragraph thereto inme- of Ordinance diately after paragraph (3) :—
(4) Where the purchaser is a registered medical practitioner or a registered dental surgeon, and the purchase is made by him for the purposes of his profession, provided that the following conditions are fulfilled :-
(a) There must have been received by the seller before the sale an order in writing signed by the purchaser stating his name and address and the name and quantity of the article to be purchased;
