An Ordinance to amend the Pharmacy and

Poisons Ordinance, 1916.

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Pharmacy and Short title. Poisons Amendinent Ordinance, 1929.

2. Wherever in sections 3, 5 and 19 of the Pharmacy Amendment and Poisons Ordinance, 1916, hereinafter caled the prin- of Ordinance cipal Ordinance, or in any regulation made thereunder, the No. 9 of

Amendment

7. Section 13 of the principal Ordinance is amended by Amendment the addition of the following paragraph thereto inme- of Ordinance diately after paragraph (3) :—

(4) Where the purchaser is a registered medical practitioner or a registered dental surgeon, and the purchase is made by him for the purposes of his profession, provided that the following conditions are fulfilled :-

(a) There must have been received by the seller before the sale an order in writing signed by the purchaser stating his name and address and the name and quantity of the article to be purchased;
