of Ordinance No. 9 of 1916,
INTITULED
An Ordinance to amend the Pharmacy and
Poisons Ordinance, 1916.
Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Pharmacy and Poisons Amendment Ordinance, 1928.
2. Wherever in sections 3, 5 and 19 of the Pharmacy and Poisons Ordinance, 1916, hereinafter called the priu- cipal Ordinance, or in any regulation made thereunder, the term, Colonial Secretary, appears, the term, Director of Medical and Sanitary Services, shall be substituted for Regulations. such term, but any such substitution shall be without prejudice to anything heretofore done under the said Ordi- nance or under any regalation made thereunder.

3.-(1) Section 6 (f) of the principal Ordinance is amended by the repeal of the word "wholesale" in the first line thereof.
(2) Section 6 (7) of the principal Ordinance is amended by the repeal of the words "to wholesale dealers
of the end thereof.
4. Section 4 (1) of the principal Ordinance is amended of Orlimauce by the repeal in the second and third lines of the words
as pharmaceutical chemists".

3. Section B of the principal Ordinance is, amended by the repend of the words with the name of the article and The word Poison", ani with the name and address of the seller of the poison" and the substitution of the following words therefor :---

7. Section 13 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the addition of the following two sub-sections thereto immediately after sub-section (3) :-
(4). Where the purchaser is a registered: medical practitioner or a registered dental J; surgeon, and the purchase is made by him for the purposes of his profession, provided that the following conditions are fulfilled :—
(a) There must have been received by the seller before the sale an order in writing signed by the purchaser stating his name and address and the name and quantity of the article to be purchased;
