SECRET ROCK.
REFERRING to Notice to Mariners, No. 5 of 1905, Masters of Vessels and others are hereby informed that the Black Buoy mentioned therein as marking the position of the Secret Rock has broken adrift, and is reported as being now about 2 miles northward of its proper position and close in shore. It will be replaced as early as possible, when a further
notice will be issued.
This affects Admiralty Chart No. 2389в.

SANITARY DEPARTMENT.
No. 30.-Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until noon of Tuesday, the 29th January, 1907, for the supply of coolie labour for the traction of water carts within the City of Victoria, for one year ending 29th February, 1908.
The carts will be required to work eight hours a day except on rainy days.
Each cart must have one foreman and at least 10 coolies.
Tenderers must produce a receipt that they have deposited in the Treasury the sum of One hundred dollars as a pledge of the bond fides of their tender, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if any Tenderer fails or refuses to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.

For form of tender apply at the Colonial Secretary's Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. 31.-Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until noon of Tuesday, the 29th January, 1907, for the supply of labour for watering the streets in the City of Victoria for one year ending 29th February, 1908.
Except on rainy days, about six Chinese foremen and sixty coolies are required every day and they will be required to work eight hours a day.
Tenderers must produce a receipt that they have deposited in the Treasury the sum of One hundred dollars as a pledge of the bona fides of their tender, which sum shall be for- feited to the Crown, if any Tenderer fails or refuses to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.
