NOTICE is hereby given that Tide Water Company, of 11 Broadway, in the City County and State of New York, United States of America, a Corporation organised under the laws of the State of New Jersey, have, on the 23rd day of January, 1928, applied for the registration in Hong Kong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Mark:-

in the name of Tide Water Oil Company, who claim to be the proprietors thereof.
The Trade Mark has been used by the Applicants in respect of :-
Petroleum products, namely, cylinder- oil, refined oil, kerosene, 300 mineral oil, gasoline, naptha, benzin, lubricating oil, paraffin- oil, spindle-oil, white-oil, red oil, neutral oil, automobile-oil, gas- oil, fuel-oil, road-oil, lubricating- grease, scale-wax, refined wax, wax-tailings, paraffin. The said Trade Mark is to be associated with Trade Mark No. 163 of 1926.

of Hong Kong and of the undersigned.

The above Mark (No. 1) has been used by the applicants in respect of radio B, batteries under Class 8.
The above Marks (Nos. 2, 3 & 4) have been used by the applicants in respect of dry batteries, electric flashlights, and flashlight batteries under Class 8.
The above Mark (No. 2) has been declared distinctive by order of His Excellency the Governor under section 9 of the Trade Marks Ordinance 1909. The applicants disclaim the right to the exclusive use to the printed words and numbers on the above marks (Nos. 1, 3 & 4) with the exception of the word "Eveready ".
The applicants also disclaim the right to the exclusive use of the repre- sentation of the electric flashlight on the above mark (No. 3).
The above marks are to be associated with one another and with Trade Mark, File No. 51 of 1928, pending registration.
The registration is limited to the colours as shown on the facsimiles of the above marks which can be seen at the Offices of the Registrar of Trade Marks, Hong Kong, or of the undersigned.
