HONG KONG-URGENT WARNINGS FOR SHIPPING.

It has been arranged that as from Wednesday next, the 27th November, 1940, any urgent warnings for shipping will be broadcast from Hong Kong (Station Z.B. W.) on 845 kilocycles and 9.52 megacycles per second immediately after the weather report at 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. and again at 10.30 p.m. (all times being Hong Kong time).

This procedure will be in addition to and not in substitution for the normal method of communicating with ships by W/T and will only be used in the case of urgent and important warnings.
