No. S. 548.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for A.R.P. Report Centre at Sai Yee Street, Mong Kok", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 25th day of November, 1940. The work consists of the erection of an A.R.P. Report Centre at Sai Yee Street, Mong Kok, of brick and concrete construction.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $500 with the Accountant-General, which will be held as security for six months after completion of the works.
Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any
tender.

No. S. 549.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate which should be clearly marked "Tender for providing and fixing water storage tanks at certain Medical Institutions", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 2nd day of December, 1940. The work consists of making and fixing galvanized mild steel emergency water storage tanks at Four Hospitals in Hong Kong and one Hospital in Kowloon. Total 55 tanks with all necessary fittings, wooden supports, and concrete bases, etc.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $1,000 with the Accountant-General.
Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
