No. S. 463.-It is hereby notified that information has been received from the Commissioner of Customs, Shanghai, to the effect that from the 27th of September, 1940, crews of vessels and passengers of third and lower classes arriving from Hong Kong must be in possession of cholera inoculation certificates bearing photographs of the holders. The certificates must be endorsed by the Hong Kong Government Health Authorities.

NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
1. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 30th September, 1940:-
(a) Heavy gun firing practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.
(b) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00
midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
2. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 1st October, 1940:-
(a) Anti-Aircraft firing practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m.
in the Southern Area of the Island.
Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.
(b) Heavy gun firing practice between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 4 p.m. Firing Area "D" will be affected.
Alternative dates-2nd and 3rd October, 1940.
(c) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00
midnight.
Firing Areas D" and "E" will be affected.
3. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 2nd October, 1940:-
(a) Anti-Aircraft firing practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m.
in the Southern Area of the Island.
Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.
