GULF OF THAILAND-WEST COAST OF MALAYA-LIGHTS RELIGHTED.

Previous Notice.-No. 176/1940 of the 15th August, 1940, which is now cancelled.

Details.-The Lights have been relit.

MALAYA, EAST COAST,

Kuala Trengganu - Information re Leading Light Beacons.

Former Notice.-No. 134/1940 of the 11th June, 1940.

Position.-Trengganu River Approach and Entrance. Latitude 05° 20' 30" N.,

longitude 103° 08′ 30′′ E.

Details. Approach Beacons :-

(a) Front Beacon.--A white post surmounted by a white diamond exhibiting a fixed green light, erected on the southern sand- spit at the river entrance.

(b) Rear Beacon.-(At a distance of 665 yards bearing 238 degrees from front beacon.) The Kuala Trengganu lighthouse, a white brick pillar exhibiting a fixed white light at the top, and a fixed green light at the base.

These beacons in line bearing 238 degrees lead in from seaward to

the line of the entrance beacons.

Entrance Beacons :-

(c) Front Beacon.-A white post surmounted by a white rectangle

exhibiting a fixed red light, erected in the river.

(d) Rear Beacon.-(At a distance of 300 yards bearing 258 degrees from the front beacon.) A white post erected on the North shore of Pulau Wan Embong, surmounted by a white rectangle, bearing a fixed red light.

These beacons in line bearing 258 degrees lead in through the river

entrance from the line of the approach beacons,

Remarks.—The green light on the approach beacon at (a) is visible for a distance

of approximately 1 miles.
