No. 8. 409.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Concrete Building at Telegraph Bay ", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 3rd day of September, 1940. The work consists of the completion of a reinforced concrete building at Telegraph Bay.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $1,500 with the Accountant-General, which will be held as security for six mouths after completion of the works.
Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. 8.-410.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Quarters for Resident Inspector of Works Tsat Tze Mui Quarry", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 9th day of September, 1940. The work consists of the erection of a detached house constructed chiefly of brick and concrete.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $2,000 with the Accountant-General.
Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
