NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
1. Light gun firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 7.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. on 15th July, 1940.
Alternative date-17th July, 1940.
Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.
2. Light gun firing practice will be car ried out between the hours of 10.00 a.m and 12.00 Midnight on 16th July, 1940.
Alternative date-18th July, 1940.

Firing Areas D" and E" will be affected.
3. Light gun firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 Midnight on 18th and 19th July, 1940.
Firing Arca "E" will be affected.
4. Light Gun Firing Practice will be carried out between the hours of 4.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. on 22nd July, 1940.
Alternative date-24th July, 1940.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
5. Firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on 23rd, July, 1940.
Alternative date-25th July, 1940.
Firing Area "D" will be affected.
6. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
