NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE

DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on 1st July, 1940.

Alternative date-3rd July, 1940.

Firing Area "D" will be affected.

2. Light gun firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on 2nd July, 1940.

Alternative date-4th July, 1940.

Firing Area "E" will be affected.

3. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing area affected, or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.

HONG KONG WATERS-TATHONG CHANNEL.

Anti-Submarine Boom-Alteration in position, etc.

Details.-1. As from 1000 hours on the 22nd June, 1940, the Anti-Submarine Boom will be moved to a position in the vicinity of Kei Pi Ha Point, and the Gate will be located approximately 7.0 cables in a N. by E. direction from Cape Collinson.

2. The Light and Dan Buoys referred to in Notice to Mariners No.

119/1940 of the 22nd May, 1940, will then be moved as follows:-

(a) RED 4.5 cables USS° from Cape Collinson. (b) WHITE 2.0 cables 084° from RED.
