No. S. 301.-Tenders are invited for the purchase of the old steam launch "G.P.O. 1".
The launch will be sold as she lies at the Government. Slipway, Yaumati, complete with engine and boiler and may be seen on application to the Superintending Engineer, Yaumati.

Sealed tenders in triplicate which should be marked "Tender for the purchase of S.L. "G.P.O. 1", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 8th July, 1940.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.

POLICE DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 302.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of Rations to Indian Police", for the supply and delivery of the articles therein mentioned as required to Police Stations from the 1st September, 1940 to the 31st March, 1941 inclusive, will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 8th July, 1940.
No tender will be considered unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited with the Accountant-General the sum of $100 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person refuses to carry out his tender.
