Details. The light buoy showing a white flashing light, and marking the reef close off Jan Chau (Slope Island), has been withdrawn.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 194.--It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Plant House etc., Tai Po Kau Forestry Reserve", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 6th day of May, 1940. The work consists of the erection of a plant house, potting shed etc., in brick, concrete and glass.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $300 with the Accountant-General.

Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
