No. S. 217-Notification No. S. 202 of the 24th April, 1940, is hereby cancelled and the following is substituted therefor :--

It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked Tender for repairs to No. 2 Fire Float", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 20th day of May, 1940.
A list of work may be obtained at the Superintending Engineer's Office, Govern- ment Slipway, Yaumati.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
The work to be carried out to the satisfaction of the Harbour Master and to be duly completed within the number of working days specified by the tender to commence from the date of handing over of the fire float to tenderers for repair; failing completion within such time deduction will be made from the contract price, by way of liquidated damages for delay, at the rate of $30 for each and every subsequent day until and includ- ing the date of due completion of the work.
