No. S. 202.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for repairs to No. 2 Fire Float", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 13th day of May, 1940.

A list of work may be obtained at the Superintending Engineer's Office, Govern- ment Slipway, Yaumati.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

The work to be carried out to the satisfaction of the Harbour Master and to be duly completed within the number of working days specified by the tender to commence from the date of handing over of the fire float to tenderers for repair; failing completion within such time deduction will be made from the contract price, by way of liquidated damages for delay, at the rate of $30 for each and every subsequent day until and includ- ing the date of due completion of the work.

GENERAL POST OFFICE.

No. S. 203.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Printing of the Hong Kong Radio Review", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 20th day of May, 1940, for the printing and publishing of the weekly paper "The Hong Kong Radio Review."

The printing involves the use of light and black types of the following fonts: 18 pt., 14 pt., 12 pt., 10 pt. and 8 pt., upper and lower case, in both Roman and Italics. The body of the paper is printed 40 lb. S.C. 224 × 35, and the cover on 80 lb. tinted cover paper.

Tenderers should quote for a basic edition of 500 copies per week of (a) 24 pages and cover, or (b) 32 pages and cover, together with subscription insert and ten posters, indicating an index of the rise in cost for every extra 50 copies per week required in any edition. The printer will also be expected to undertake the distribution of the paper each week to streetsellers, together with the handling of and accounting for monies derived from street sales.

The Tender will be for a period of twelve months from July 1st, 1940.

As security for the proper performance of the work under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $250 with the Accountant-General.

A specimen copy of the paper may be obtained on application to the Managing Editor, "Hong Kong Radio Review," P.O. Box 200.
