No. S. 682.-In accordance with section 53 of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, Ordinance No. 15 of 1935, it is hereby notified that the Government proposes to erect a small flush water closet for the use of women and children in the Kowloon King George V Memorial Field.

If any owner or occupier in the immediate vicinity of such site objects to such erection, the objection must be sent in writing to the Colonial Secretary so as to reach his office not later than Friday, the 19th day of January, 1940.

No. S. 683.—It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Taking Borings of Hills in Kowloon", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 8th day of January, 1940. The work comprises the investigation of certain hills in Kowloon, New Kowloon, and in areas adjacent to Customs Pass and possibly Pipers Hill by means of: Borings.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $1,000 with the Accountant-General.

Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
