NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITII THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Firing practice will be carried out from the MOUNT DAVIS area between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 2 p.m. on 28th September, 1939.

Alternative date-3rd October, 1939.

Firing Area "D" will be affected.

2. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing area affected, or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.

Position.-Lat. 1° 17' N. Long. 103° 37′ E.

Details.-Area bounded on south by a line from Tg. Piai (Tg. Bulus) to Sultan Shoal thence to No. 2 Beacon thence in a line true north to Hill (89 feet) on Po. Ayer Chawan thence to Tanjong Bin. Dangerous obstructions are being laid in this area.

All craft must enter and leave Johore Strait through Selat Sembulan and between the northern boundary of this area and the Coast of Singapore Island.

Admiralty Chart No. 3833 affected.
