As from the 7th September, all vessels using the Eastern Entrance to Hong Kong Harbour are to pass between the two Gate vessels moored in the fairway. These Gate vessels will each display the following signals on the side nearest the Gate :—

(A) For Incoming Vessels.

(1) By Day.-Port hand vessel-two black balls.

By Night.-Port hand vessel-two red lights.

(2) By Day-Starboard hand vessel-two black cones.

By Night.-Starboard hand vessel-two green lights.

Fog Signal-Port hand vessel "W", followed by one long blast on

fog-horn.

Starboard hand vessel "X", followed by one long blast on

fog-horn.

(B) For Out-going Vessels.

(1) By Day. Starboard hand vessel -One Black cone.

By Night.-Starboard hand vessel-One Green Light.

By Day.-Port hand vessel-One Black ball.

By Night.-Port hand vessel-One Red light.

Fog Signal-Starboard hand vessel "X" on fog-horn.

Port hand vessel W" on fog-horn.

An examination launch will be on duty outside Gate to guide incoming vessels.

Examination of Wireless Installation Seal will take place outside the Boom.

This notice cancels Notice to Mariners No. 133/1939 of the 7th September, 1939.
