AMENDMENT OR REPEAL.

21. The Widows' and

Orphans' Pension Ordinance, 1908. (No. 15 of 1908), ---contd.

(6) Section 9—

(i) sub-section (1) is amended by the in- sertion, at the beginning, of the words and figures Except as provided in sections 10 and 10A,";

(ii) sub-section (5) is amended by the substitution of the words "last happens" for the words "shall last happen" in the penultimate line.

(7) Section 10—

(i) sub-section (1) is amended by the substitution of the words Accountant- General' for the word "directors" in the seventh and the tenth lines;

(i) sub-section (2) is amended by the substitution of the words "by the amount by which for the words by the same amount as in the fourth line.

(8) Section 12 is amended by the repeal of the words who has been transferred prior to the commencement of this Ordinance, or who may be hereafter" in the first and second lines.

(9) Section 13 is amended by the substitution of the words "Accountant-General" for the word "directors' in-

(i) the third line of sub-section (1); (ii) the second lines of sub-sections (2) and (3);

(iii) the last line of sub-section (4).

(10) Section 14-sub-section (2) is amended by the substitution of the words "Accountant- General' for the word "Treasurer" in the first line and of the words "the amount of such fine for the words "such penalty" in the second line.

(11) Section 17, as amended by Ordinance No. ∙13 of 1928 the following section is, sub-

stituted-

17. Every pension shall be calculated Calculation according to the Rules and Tables contained of pensions. in the Schedule to this Ordinance.

(12) Sections 19 and 20 the following two

sections are substituted---

"19. Subject to the provisions of section Provision 16, when orphans have no living mother or for case of stepmother entitled to

a pension, the motherless pension to which the wife of the deceased orphans. contributor would have been entitled if she had survived him or which his widow was receiving at the time of her death shall be divided equally among such orphans; and whenever one of such orphans ceases to be eligible for pension, the whole pension shall be re-divided equally among the others.
