331. Any affidavit sworn in the United Affidavits Kingdom, any British possession or any sworn in place under the dominion of His Majesty
the King's dominions, in foreign parts before any judge, officer or etc. other person duly authorized, or before any H.K. Code, commissioner authorized by the Supreme s. 56 (6). Court, to take affidavits in the United Kingdom, such British possession or place respectively, may be used in the court in all cases where affidavits are admissible."
(19) Section 440, as amended by Ordinances Nos. 1 of 1933 and 27 of 1937-sub-section (1) is further amended by the substitution of the words Queen Mary Hospital for the words Government Civil Hospital in the sixth line.

(20) Section 443-sub-section (4) is amended by the substitution of the words "has not". for the words shall not have in the fourth line.

(21) Section 455--sub-section (1) is amended—

(i) by the substitution of the word issues "' for the words shall issue
the first line;

(ii) by the repeal of the word shall immediately after the word defendant in the sixth line, and the substitution of the word "causes" for the word "cause" in the eighth line.
(22) Section 467 is amended—
(i) by the repeal of the word shall in the third line;
(ii) by the substitution of the word dispenses for the word dispense in
the fourth line.

(23) The title of Chapter XVIII is amended to read-- ACTION BY OR AGAINST THE GOVERN- MENT.

(24) Sections 478 and 479 are renumbered as section 479 (1) and (2) respectively, and the following new section is inserted as section 478 immediately before section 479 as renumbered-
General.
478. The Attorney General may law- Crown suits fully commence and prosecute in his own to be in the name any action or other civil proceedings name of the in respect of any claim made by the Attorney Crown, or by the Governor or Govern- ment, or by any officer of the Government in his official capacity, against a defendant whether the cause of action arises out of contract or tort or otherwise :
Provided always that this section shall not affect the commencement or prosecu- tion of any proceedings in respect of which any enactment provides that such proceed- ings shall be taken in the name of some public officer other than the Attorney General.'
