BOTANICAL AND FORESTRY DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 374.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for making, clearing and repairing Forestry Paths and Fire Barriers, 1939", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 21st day of August, 1939, for making, clearing and repairing forestry paths and fire barriers for the Botanical and Forestry Department.

For forms of tender, specifications and further particulars apply at this office.

No tender will be considered unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited with the Accountant-General the sum of $50 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person shall refuse to carry out his tender, should his ten ler be accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
