NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Firing practice will be carried out from STONECUTTERS ISLAND between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12 midnight on 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st July, 1939.

Firing Area "E" will be affected.

2. Firing practice will be carried out from FORT DAVIS between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. on 18th July, 1939.

Alternative dates--19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd July, 1939.

Firing Area "D" will be affected.

3. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing area affected, or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.

It is hereby notified that H.M.S. Moth will carry out firings in the East Lamma Channel as follows:-

Thursday, 20th July, a.m.-Three pounder sub-calibre firing in West Lamma

Channel.

Friday, 21st July, a.m.-Six inch full calibre firings from East Lamma Chan- nel shooting over Lamma Island at moored target in HA MEI WAN. A Motor Torpedo Boat will act as Mark Ship and keep range clear.
