NOTICES.
COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT,
IN THE MATTER OF TRADING WITH THE ENEMY
ORDINANCE No. 25 of 1914.
By order of His Excellency the Governor dated the 27th day of December, 1939, Mr. FRANK GORDON MAUNDER, A.C.A., of Messrs. Thomson & Co., Hong Kong Bank Build- ing, Hong Kong, was appointed an Inspector under Section 9 (1) of Ordinance No. 25 of 1914, of the business of the Hong Kong Mercantile and Chemicals, Limited of Hong Kong (hereinafter called "the Company "), with the following
powers:-
(1) To inspect any books or documents belonging to, or under the control of, the Company.
(2) To require the Company and all persons employed by the Company and any person having knowledge of the affairs of the Company to give such information with respect to any business carried on by the Company as the Inspector may demand.
(3) To enter on any premises used for the purpose of the business of the Company.
(4) To render a report to the Custodian of Enemy Property on the business and affairs of the Company.

It is hereby notified that HARRY NORMAN WILLIAMSON has been re-assigned from the General Group for Essential Services to the Combatant Group in the Hong Kong Defence Reserve under the provisions of the Compulsory Service Ordinance, 1939.
