ORDINANCE No. 38 of 1939. (ESSENTIAL

COMMODITIES RESERVES).

Pursuant to section 15 of the Essential Commodities Reserves Ordinance, 1939, the Governor in Council hereby orders that there shall be paid to the Accountant-General by every importer of rice a levy at the rate of 12 cents per picul on all rice imported by him on or after 1st December, 1939, except rice which is destined for other places than China transhipped from ship to ship without landing.

No. 1110.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JOHN BERNARD PRENTIS to be Official Receiver in Bankruptcy, Registrar of Trade Marks, Registrar of Patents and Custodian of Enemy Property, with effect from the 1st December, 1939.
