Resolution made and passed by the Legislative Council under section 3 of the Public Officers (Changes of Style) Ordinance, 1937, Ordinance No. 25 of 1937, on the 26th October, 1939.
RESOLVED pursuant to section 3 of the Public Officers (Changes of Style) Ordinance, 1937, that the style of the office of Government Marine Surveyor" be changed to that of Principal Surveyor of Ships" for all purposes and that the following addition be made to the Schedule to the said Ordinance:
Old Style of officer, office or department.
Government Marine Surveyor.
New Style of officer, office or department.
Principal Surveyor of Ships.

No. 980.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Mr. ROBERT CRYAN to be Chief Electrical Engineer, with effect from the 10th May, 1938.

No. 981.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under section 3 of the Dentistry Ordinance, 1914, Ordinance No. 16 of 1914, Dr. GEORGE DUNCAN RALPH BLACK, O.B.E., to be a Member of the Dental Board for a further period of three years, with effect from 28th October, 1939.
