ORDINANCE No. 8 of 1934. (IMMIGRATION AND

PASSPORTS).

In exercise. of the powers conferred by section 1 (2) (d) of the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1939, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, published respectively as Govern- ment Notifications Nos. 707 and 708 in the Gazette Extra- ordinary No. 39 of the 26th August, 1939, His Excellency the Governor makes the following regulation amending section 7 (b) of the Immigration and Passports Ordinance, 1934.

Amendment.

Paragraph (b) of section 7 of the Immigration and Pass- ports Ordinance, 1934, is amended by the addition after the words "

persons of Chinese race of the words who are British or Chinese nationals and have no other nationality ".
