With reference to Government Notification No. 64 of 1937, publishing the text of the Merchant Shipping (Carriage of Munitions to Spain) Act, 1936, the following Order of His Majesty in Council terminating the operation of the Merchant. Shipping (Carriage of Munitions to Spain) Act, 1936, is published for general information.

MERCHANT SHIPPING.

THE MERCHANT SHIPPING (EXPIRATION OF ENACTMENT) No. 2 ORDER, 1939.

AT THE COURT AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE,

THE 5TH DAY OF MAY, 1939.

PRESENT,

THE KING'S MOST EXCELLENT MAJESTY IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by sub-section (5) of section two of the Merchant Shipping (Carriage of Munitions to Spain) Act, 1936, (1 Edw. 8, Ch. 1), that that Act shall continue in force until His Majesty by Order in Council is pleased to declare that it is no longer necessary or expedient that it should continue in force:

AND WHEREAS it is no longer necessary or expedient that the said Act should continue in force:

NOW, THEREFORE, His Majesty is pleased, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-

1. It is hereby declared that it is no longer necessary or expedient that the Merchant Shipping (Carriage of Munitions to Spain) Act, 1936, should continue in force.

2. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Expiration of Enactment) No. 2 Order, 1939.
