ORDINANCE No. 28 of 1917. (FERRIES).

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Ferries Ordinance, 1917, the ferry named hereunder is excluded from the operation of that Ordinance so long

as--

(1) No exclusive and conflicting licence is granted under the said Ordinance; and

(2) only one launch or motor boat is employed by the person named in the service; and

(3) no goods except passengers personal luggage are carried; and

(4) the ferry adheres to a schedule approved by the Harbour Master; and

(5) all directions given by the Harbour Master as to terminal and intermediate (if any) places or ports of call are complied with; and

(6) only vessels licensed and approved for the purpose by the Harbour Master are employed; and provided that there shall be a deduction from the number of passengers carried, if any of the space measured for passengers accommodation is occupied by the passengers baggage, in accordance with regulation 18 of Table E of the Regulations under the Mer- chant Shipping Ordinance, 1889; and

(7) the fares and charges at any time taken and made are approved by the Harbour Master.

EXCLUDED FERRY.

The ferry of Lum Sun plying between Kwo Lo Wan and Sai Kung.
