In exercise of the powers conferred by the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1939, as extended to the Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, published respectively by Government Notification Nos. 707 and 708 in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 39 of the 26th August, 1939, His Excellency the Governor makes the following regulations :

Ships (Names, tonnage and sailing dates)

Regulations, 1939.

1. No person shall display or publish for general infor- mation any notice, list or advertisement containing the names, tennage or sailing dates of any British or foreign ships.

Nothing in this Regulation shall prevent the giving of reasonable and necessary information on such matters con- fidentially by shipping offices and travel agencies to their

customers.

2. The provisions of the Defence Regulations, 1939, of the Colony shall apply for the purpose of the enforcement of these Regulations, and otherwise in relation thereto, as if any reference in these Regulations included a reference to these Regulations.
