COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

It is hereby notified for general information that by virtue of Proclamation No. 11 of 1939, published on the 3rd day of September, 1939, proclaiming that war had broken out between His Majesty and Germany, a Warrant, under the hands of the Commissioners for executing the office of Lord High Admiral and under the Seal of the Admiralty conferring jurisdiction upon the Supreme Court of Hong Kong in matters of Prize has become effective as from the date of the said Proclamation.

It is, therefore, hereby further notified that the said Supreme Court of Hong Kong is a Prize Court within the meaning of the Naval Prize Act, 1864, and the Prize Courts Art. 1894.
