By His Excellency Sir GEOFFRY ALEXANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.
I, the said Sir GEOFFRY ALEXANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, being satisfied thereof by information received by me, do hereby proclaim that war has broken out between Ilis Majesty and Germany.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony at Victoria, Hong Kong, this 3rd day of September, 1939.
