ORDINANCE No. 10. of 1899.
(MERCHANT SHIPPING).
By virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 42 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, the Governor in Council amends Table C in the regulations made under the said Ordinance and appearing on pages 269 to 294 of the Regulations of Hong Kong (1937 edition) as follows:-
Amendment.
The following heading and regulation are added immedi- ately after regulation 23-
Fees payable where not prescribed in this Table.
24. Where a service is rendered and no fee is prescribed in these regulations it shall be lawful for the Harbour Master to assess the fee payable in respect of such service and such fee shall correspond where possible with that appearing in the Board of Trade List.

ORDINANCE No. 39 of 1932. (PRISONS).
By virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 of the Prisons Ordinance, 1932, the Governor in Council further amends the Prison Rules set out on pages 181 to 246 of the Regulations of Hong Kong, 1844-1925, as follows:-
Amendment.
The following paragraph is added at the end of General Rule 316-
(7) Penal labour (breaking stone) by task. The task set shall not exceed the equivalent of 112 hours' work. Penal labour and dietary punishment shall not be combined nor awarded together as punishment for the same offence.
