It is hereby notified for general information that the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1939, a copy of which is appended to this notification, was passed by the Imperial Parliament on 24th August, 1939, and was extended to this Colony by an Order of His Majesty in Council dated 25th August, 1939.
