(2) In like circumstances a warrant officer or non-com- missioned officer will be allowed five shillings a day, together with necessary travelling expenses as mentioned in the fore- going paragraph.
(3) The allowances mentioned in paragraphs (1) and (2) of this regulation will normally be limited to fifteen days attendance at a course. No allowance whatever will be paid in respect of attendance after the fifteenth day unless the course is one of long duration, such as a Machine Gun Course, in which case the limit may be extended to the actual duration of the course in any case where the General Officer Command- ing the Troops sees fit to direct an extension.
Clothing and Equipment.
10.--(1) Officers will provide and maintain their own form. uniform and appointments in accordance with the scale laid down in the Second Appendix.
(2) Other ranks will be provided with uniform in accord- ance with the scales laid down by the Commandant from time to time.
(3) In no circumstances may articles of uniform be worn with plain clothes.

11.--(1) An allowance towards the cost of his outfit of Officers not more than three hundred dollars will be paid to each fit officer on his first appointment as an officer in the corps: Provided that the allowance shall be limited to outfit pur- chased within six months of the officer's first appointment and in respect of which an account, supported by vouchers approved by the Commandant, is promptly submitted by the officer to the Commandant : Provided further that every officer to whom any such allowance is paid shall sign an undertaking to hand back to the corps in serviceable condi- tion, fair wear and tear excepted, his belt, Sam Browne complete with braces, frog, ammunition pouch and pistol case, his sword, infantry pattern with brown leather scabbard
