SUPREME COURT.
No. 531.-Pursuant to Section 78 sub-section (2) of the Trustee Ordinance, 1934, as amended by No. 17 of 1939, notice is hereby given that on the 26th day of June, 1939, the Registrar of Companies issued to the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation a Certificate of Registration as a Trust Company.

TREASURY.
No. 532.-It is hereby notified for the information of Owners and Occupiers of tenements that, under the provisions of the Rating Ordinance No. 6 of 1901, Rates for the Third Quarter, 1939, are payable in advance on or before the 31st July, 1939.
If any person shall fail to pay such Rates on or before the 31st August, 1939, proceedings will be taken in the Supreme Court for their recovery without further notice.
No refund of Rates in respect of vacant tenements will be granted unless such Rates have been paid during and within the month of July, 1939, nor unless application is made for such refund within fifteen days from the expiration of the Quarter.
In order to ensure correct service in future, Owners and Occupiers of tenements are requested kindly to fill in particulars of their permanent addresses on the space provided for this purpose on the reverse side of the Notices for the Third Quarter, 1939.

MEDICAL DEPARTMENT,
No. 533.--Gazette Notification No. 494 of the 22nd June, 1938, is hereby amended as follows:-
The provision under the heading "Certificates" is deleted and the following substituted therefor :-
Certificates:(a) A charge of $10 is made for all certificates in connexion with the fitness or unfitness of patients or others to perform their duty and for invaliding certificates, and $10 for certificates required by insurance companies.
(b) Except where certificates are issued free under the provisions of the Vaccination Ordinance and except in the case of Government servants, a charge of $2, is made for a certificate of vaccination.
(c) A charge of $0.50 is made for a certificate of inoculation,
except in the case of Government servants.
