An Ordinance to amend the Dangerous Goods Ordinance.

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Dangerous Goods Short title. Amendment Ordinance, 1939.
2. Section 8 of the Dangerous Goods Ordinance, 1873, Amendment is amended by the addition at the end thereof of the following of Ordinance
sub-sections
(3) The owner or master of every ship carrying a cargo which, or any part of which, consists of petroleum shall, in addition to complying with sub-section (1) of this section. declare in writing to the Harbour Master-
(a) the quantity of petroleum on board the ship:
(b) the number of tanks, compartments, drums, barrels, tins or other containers or receptacles containing the petro- leum;
(c) the nature and quality of the petroleum;
(d) particulars of any certificate in his possession certify-
ing the flash point of the petroleum.
(4) Every person who contravenes any of the provisions of sub-section (3) of this section shall be deemed to commit
an offence against this Ordinance.

3. Sub-sections (4) and (5) of section 10 of the Dan- Repeal of

4. Section 18A of the Dangerous Goods Ordinance, 1873, is amended by the addition thereto of the following sub-sections----
section 10 (4) and (5) of Ordin- ance No. 1 of 1873.
