An Ordinance to amend the Ordinances and Regulations of

Hong Kong (1937 edition) Ordinance, 1936.

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Ordinances and Short title. Regulations of Hong Kong (1937 edition) Amendment Ordinance, 1939.

2. Section 7 of the Ordinances and Regulations of Hong Amendment Kong (1937 edition) Ordinance, 1936, is amended by the of Ordinance insertion of the following proviso at the end of sub-section 1936, (1) thereof

: Provided that, if before the issue of any such volume any Ordinance to which this sub-section applies has been repealed and replaced by an Ordinance of later date, the editor may in his discretion omit the carlier Ordinance and make an appropriate note to that effect in the said volume.

3. Section 8 of the Ordinances and Regulations of Amendment Hong Kong (1937 edition) Ordinance, 1936, is amended by No. 51 of the insertion of the following proviso at the end thereof-

: Provided that, if before the issue of any such volume any enactment which was in force on the 1st day of January, 1938, has been repealed and replaced by an enactment of later date, the editor may in his discretion omit the earlier enactment and make an appropriate note to that effect in the said volume.

4. A copy of this Ordinance shall be printed at the A copy of beginning of every volume of the Ordinances and of the Regulations prepared under the authority of the Ordinances printed and Regulations of Hong Kong (1937 edition) Ordinance, beginning 1936, in which the powers conferred by section 2 or section of certain 3 of this Ordinance have been exercised by the editor.
