APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 204. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. CECIL GRAHAM PERDUE provisionally, and subject to Ilis Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Official Member of the Legislative Council, in the place of the Honourable Mr. THOMAS HENRY KING, who is temporarily absent from the Colony, with effect, from 18th March, 1939.

No. 205.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Miss PHYLLIS WARDEN BROWN, M.B.E., B.A., to act as Principal, Belilios Public School, with effect from 18th March, 1939, and until further notice.

No. 206. - His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. CECIL GRAHAM PERDUE to act as Commissioner of Police and Chief Officer, Fire Brigade, during the absence on leave of the Hon. Mr. THOMAS HENRY KING or until further notice, with effect from the 18th March, 1939.

No. 207.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WALTER RICHARDSON SCOTT to act as Deputy Commissioner of Police until further notice, with effect from 18th March, 1939.

No. 208. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WILLIAM NGARTSE THOMAS TAM to be a Member of the Traffic Board in place of the Honourable Mr. Lo MAN-KAM, resigned, with effect from 13th March, 1939.

No. 209.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WILLIAM NGARTSE THOMAS TAM, provisionally, and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be tem- porarily an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council, in the place of the Honourable Dr. LI SHU-FAN, who is temporarily absent from the Colony, with effect from the 17th March, 1939.
