to have powers of police constable.
(7) The use of weapons under this section shall be as far as possible to disable and not to kill.
(8) The Commissioner, Superintendent, Assistant Super- intendent and every prison officer (within the meaning of Rule 2 (c) of the said Rules), while acting as such, shall have all the powers, authorities and protection of a police constable in England.
3. In Rule 299 the words "a superior officer" are substituted for the words "the officer in charge" at the end thereof.

ORDINANCE No. 8 of 1937. (PHARMACY AND POISONS).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 (1) (c) of the Pharmacy and Poisons Ordinance, 1937, the Governor in Council makes the following regulations for the appoint- ment of examiners for the purpose of the Chemists and Druggists Qualifying Examination, which shall be inserted in the regulations in the Schedule to that Ordinance immediately after regulation 2 of the regulations under the heading "Certificates" in the said Schedule:--
Appointment of examiners. [s .3 (1) (c).]
1. There shall be a board of examiners whose constitution, powers and duties shall be as prescribed by these regulations.
2. The board shall consist of--
A Government Medical Officer, The Professor of Chemistry in the University of Hong Kong, The Government Analyst, The Government Apothecary.
3. (a) It shall be the duty of the Board to examine candidates for the above examination whose names have been submitted by the Registrar as having complied with the requirements of the Ordinance.
(b) The above certificate shall be signed by any three members of the Board.
