COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.
The following amendment to the regulations made under the Royal Warrant dated the 10th May, 1938, relating to the Colonial Police Medal, as published in Government Notifica- tion 17 of the Gazette of the 6th January, 1939, is published for general information :-
Regulation 1 of the above mentioned regulations has been amended and now reads as follows :-
4. Any award of the Medal for conspicuous gallantry shall be made as soon as possible after the event occasioning the grant; and all other awards shall be made annually on the occasion of the celebration of His Majesty's Birthday; provided that a recommendation may be made at any time when Ilis Majesty so commands.
