ORDINANCE No. 10 of 1899. (MERCHANT SIIIPPING).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 39 (17) and (18) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance No. 10 of 1899, it is hereby notified that junks, sampans and other Chinese vessels are hereby prohibited from anchoring or mooring alongside the portions of the seawall for a distance of 65 feet south west of the Revenue Department Pier to a point where the praya wall joins the seawall of the Vehicular Ferry Wharf at Jubilee Street and from thence for a further distance of 100 feet west along the Praya Wall.

No junk, sampan or other Chinese vessel shall be brought alongside or lie off any of the said portions of the seawall or the Revenue Departmnet Pier nor shall any such vessel approach any of such portions of the seawall or pier or tie up or lie alongside any portion of the pier, unless engaged on Government duty.
