Council in Committee on the Bill.
On Council resuming, the Attorney General reported that the Bill had passed through Committee without amendment and said that in view of the fact that the Bill was a Revenue measure it was desirable that it should be passed with as little delay as possible. He therefore requested the President's permission under Standing Order No. 29 (2) to suspend so much of the Standing Orders as was necessary to allow the Bill to pass through all its stages at the same meeting.
The President gave the required permission and Council approved the suspen-
sion.
The Attorney General then moved its Third reading.
The Colonial Secretary seconded.

13. His Excellency the Governor addressed the Council paying high tribute to the services rendered to the Colony by Major-General ARTHUR WOLLASTON and Mrs. BARTHOLOMEW,
Honourable Sir HENRY EDWARD POLLOCK, Kt., K.C., LL.D., and Honourable Mr. CHAU TSUN-NIN, C.B.E., addressed the Council endorsing His Excellency's remarks.
ADJOURNMENT.
14. The Council then adjourned sine die.
